    askHRgreen.org is a public awareness program of the 16 cities and counties of Hampton Roads administered through the Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), which encourages environmental stewardship among all residents here in southeastern Virginia. Members include the cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Poquoson, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach andWilliamsburg; the counties of Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Southampton, Surryand York; and the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD).
  • Suffolk Clean Community Commission Recycling (SCCC)

    SCCC icon The SCCC coordinates recycling on a quarterly basis at two alternating locations. See our chapter events calendar for the specific date and location of upcoming scheduled recycling events where our chapter will be participating.   • Selling Personal Items for Cash $$

    We will continue to have a table available at regular membership meetings for members to sell personal items. Please ensure each item is identified as to the owner and has a price tag attached. Items not sold must be removed after each meeting. We hope this venue will be useful for our members.

  • Recycling Batteries

    Battery Icon Mike Lane requests that Chapter Members bring your old, tired lead acid batteries (car, truck, tractor, riding mower, etc.) to any regular scheduled chapter dinner meeting and he will be happy to transport them to a local recycling center, proceeds of which would be designated for our club's donation account(s). Thank you, Mike!
