November 15th Member’s Meeting

The guest speaker for the evening was Patrick Harper (pictured left). Mr. Harper is a project developer with Cypress Creek Renewables. The company was established in 2014 and it develops, finances, owns and operates solar and energy projects across the US. Cypress Creek Renewables is currently working on a proposed solar facility that would be located across Kings Fork Road from the Community House between the Community House and the cemetery on approximately 58 acres of leased farmland.

Mr. Harper presented an overview of the proposed project from initial planning, installation, maintenance and operation through decommissioning of the site. The majority of the presentation consisted of a question-and-answer session. Topics ranged from wildlife and environmental issues to noise and traffic concerns. All questions were answered, and a good exchange of information was shared. Additional information regarding the project can be obtained by contacting Mr. Patrick via email at patrick.harper@ccrenew.com.

The chapter gained an additional family membership when Neal Ervin (pictured below) was sworn in by chapter president Chris Ferguson. Neal’s wife Emily was unable to attend the meeting. Welcome to the chapter!
