The guest speaker for the June member’s dinner meeting was Ethan Ferguson. Ethan presented a slide show presentation of his recently completed Eagle Scout project. Ethan’s project was to build and install Wood Duck nesting boxes on the Nansemond Indian Tribe property along the Nansemond River and around the pond at our park.
The presentation covered the entire project from purchasing all the materials, cutting out the parts, construction and final installation of 22 Wood Duck nesting boxes. At the completion of his presentation he expressed his appreciation for the chapter’s support of his project and he presented chapter president, Ray Powell, with the unused portion of the funds the chapter had donated to his project.
