Virginia Outdoors Plan Regional Meeting September 2015

S-N IWLA Board Member Mike Lane attended a Virginia Outdoors Plan Regional meeting held in September, which involved discussions at the state level to identify outdoor recreational areas. Mike Kelley from City of Suffolk also attended. This group also looks at outdoor recreation policies. The VDOT site beside Obici will become available if they relocate since the site is no longer being used as it was in the past for storage of vehicles, etc. A group might need to spearhead this sight as a state proposal so that it has a chance at becoming something other than commercial space.
