On September 10th, 2016 the chapter held a SNIWLA members only 22 rim-fire shooting competition at the park range. The following are the results of the competition by event category:
25 yard Open Sights Pistol: 1st place; Darden Langston(83) 2nd place; H.K. Good(80) 3rd place; David Perdue(67)
50 yard Scoped Pistol: 1st place; H.K. Good(99) 2nd place; (tie) Darden Langston(98) Nathaniel Carpenter(98) 3rd place; Gary Brown(83)

100 yard Scoped Rifle: 1st place (tie); Darden Langston(90) Nathaniel Carpenter(90) 2nd place; Rob Carpenter(85) 3rd place; H.K. Good(82)
At the awards banquet, chapter member David Perdue announced the results and presented a certificate to Nathaniel Carpenter (pictured below) for 1st place in the 100 yard scoped rifle category. Nathaniel was the youngest participant in the shooting event. He also tied for second place in the scoped hand gun category. It should be noted that he had not fired the hand gun he used before shooting it in the competition. It looks like Darden could have some competition from the younger ranks!
