The City of Suffolk Parks and Recreation Department is in the final phases of updating the department’s master plan. The objective of this plan is to translate the community’s values and vision into an action plan for parks, recreation facilities, programs and events. Two community information meetings have been scheduled to share the recommended goals for the department’s future growth and sustainability:
- Monday, Nov. 30, 6:30 p.m. at Creekside Recreation Center gym located at 1000 Bennetts Creek Park Road (entrance in the rear of Creekside Elementary School)
- Tuesday, Dec. 1, 6:30 p.m. at East Suffolk Recreation Center located at 138 South Sixth Street
