June 2021 Monthly Chapter Meeting

On Wednesday, June 16th, for the first time in over a year, the chapter held a members monthly meeting at the Kings Fork Community House on Kings Fork Road.

About 25 members showed up for the meeting to enjoy some good fellowship and to review the slate of officers and board members for the 2021-2022 term as presented by Darden Langston, V.P.  and chair of the nominations/elections committee.

After Darden closed the nominations, he confirmed that elections would be held at the July chapter dinner meeting, and he announced that chapter Ike James Trommatter has been nominated for a National IWLA e-Board position.

Regarding committee chair positions (which are not elected positions but rather are appointed by the chapter president), President Ray Powell announced that Chapter Ike Marshal Knox has been appointed Outdoor Ethics Chair, and that if anyone is interested, there would most likely be opportunities in August to fill committee chair vacancies in Youth Coordinator, Adopt-A-Road, and Shooting Sports Coordinator positions.  Also, President Powell accounted that he and Tim Doxey, chapter Treasurer, have been appointed delegates to the IWLA National Convention to be held (virtually) July 20th through 22nd.

All in all, it was very gratifying to see our chapter Ikes coming together in a relaxed setting, with a lot of camaraderie while conducting important chapter business.  We look forward to doing this again at the July dinner meeting where we will be holding chapter elections while serving up a scrumptious BBQ dinner and presenting the annual chapter education scholarship award.

Below are a few photos taken at the June meeting by club photographer, chapter Ike Jim Anderson.
