Volunteers arrived early Saturday morning to support the fall park cleanup event. Although the turn out was lighter than usual, the members that did step up put in a good days work. The members managed to get the dam cleared off, cleared out a couple of ditches, cut some grass and worked on trimming some overhanging branches along the park paths. The majority of the priority items on the maintenance list were completed with the exception of filling in some pot holes.
The weather was good but got a little warm as the day progressed. Bob Barnhill prepared lunch for the work crew. Hot dogs, potato chips, iced tea and cookies rounded out the culinary fare. Jim Tromatter and Bob were overheard discussing the finer attributes of a good hot dog.
