January 2019 Member’s Meeting

The chapter held their first dinner meeting of the year on January 16th at the Kings Fork Community House. Instead of a guest speaker, Chapter Officers and Board members presented a review of 2018 accomplishments and outlined some of the goals for 2019.

Board member, Dean Matty, reviewed the End of Year Reports submitted by the various chapter committees and high lighted where volunteer opportunities exist. Chapter Vice President, Darden Langston, discussed the results of the December 2018 Long Range Planning Committee meeting.

The proposed bylaw changes were reviewed and the purpose for the changes were explained. In addition to the E-blast that was sent out earlier in January, for members to review, the proposed changes will again be discussed at the February member’s meeting and then be voted on by the members present at that meeting.

It was announced that Jim Trommatter will be stepping down as our chapter’s treasurer and accepting the position as our new Virginia State Director. Congratulations Jim!
