2018 Spring Park Cleanup

Approximately 25 volunteers turned out early Saturday morning for the spring park cleanup. The weather cooperated with cool temperatures and plenty of blue sky and bright sunshine. The good volunteer turn out allowed the work slated for the day to be accomplished earlier than usual. As a result lunch was served early and allowed volunteers to head out with the majority of the day still available to enjoy the spring weather.

One of the key goals of the spring cleanup was to get the park ready for the upcoming Teddy Bear Hunt scheduled for next Saturday April 28th. According to chapter president, Ray Powell, ” the grass is cut, walk paths are cleared and we are ready for those Teddy Bears.”
