In attendance were several officers of the IWLA Virginia division, including President Ernie Padgette and spouse\/IWLA national director Jill Padgette, vice presidents Herb Pritchett and Harry Kidder, Secretary Michele Bell, as well as several IWLA VA divison national directors from all over the state of Virginia.\u00a0 Also in attendance were officers from the Chesapeake IWLA chapter and our own S-N IWLA chapter past presidents Will Haas and H.J. Miller.<\/p>\n<p>S-N IWLA chapter Ike and Vice President Darden Langston cooked for the group a delicious pork-loin with blueberry reduction sauce, with help from S-N IWLA chapter Ike Claudia Powell (Food Chair) who provided a light breakfast of pastries with coffee\/juice, with luncheon sides of yams, peas and carrots, apples, rolls, and tea.\u00a0 Claudia and Wanda Gerard each provided scrumptious home-made cakes for dessert.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5158 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27-300x154.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27-768x395.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27-150x77.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27-250x129.jpg 250w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.27.jpg 985w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-5159 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29-300x246.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29-300x246.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29-768x630.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29-150x123.jpg 150w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29-183x150.jpg 183w, https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/lores_2019-10-19-13.07.29.jpg 780w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the business portion of the meeting, each National director gave a summary of the recent activities for their respective chapters to which they are assigned.\u00a0 \u00a0Also, a donation grant by the IWLA Virginia division of $10,000 was approved in their budget for the IWLA Virginia Save Our Streams (SOS) program.\u00a0 Highlights of the SOS presentation included discussion of the expenses involded in uploading data to the IWLA National Clean Water Hub, with efforts being concentrated in two areas: the mid-atlantic region and Iowa.\u00a0 Only fresh-water river stream monitoring &#8220;protocols&#8221; (procedures for ensuring data quality control) are supported&#8211;there is no provision yet for salt-water tidal monitoring, as inquired by H.J.
