On Saturday, March 14th, 2026, the Suffolk-Nansemond Chapter of the IWLA’s Youth Committee held an open-to-the-public bird house building event for children at the club park.\u00a0\u00a0 A total of five children attended.\u00a0 Two children were members (Tiny Ikes), two were invited guests, and one responded to club advertisement.<\/p>\n

Each child built and painted a wren bird house from kits provided by the club. The children all participated actively and thoroughly enjoyed the activity.\u00a0 All attendees were briefed on the club\u2018s conservation mission and provided with souvenir pencils, rulers, and whistles bearing conservation themes.<\/p>\n
