on what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday morning on November 9th.\u00a0 Members could choose from 3 (three) separate events, either (a) to show up at the chapter park for a scheduled maintenance workday,\u00a0 (b) to participate in the chapter&#8217;s Adopt-A-Road cleanup of trash alongside Kings Fork and Providence Roads, or lastly, (c) to help sling tires during Suffolk SCCC&#8217;s (Suffolk Clean Community Commission) tire amnesty recycle event on Carolina Road.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter Ikes Mike Lane and Ray Powell chose the latter option, toiling alongside SCCC employees Susan and Mark Davis to collect, tally, and stack over 1,170 tires at the Public Works Operation site for later recycling.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43929\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption employees Jarret, and Elon, whose help was invaluable in helping keep up with the unrelenting waves of trucks, trailers, and cars that lined up to\u00a0 drop off old tires during a 3 (three) hour
