Chapter Ikes Mike Lane, Claudia and Ray Powell teamed up to dig up a few <a href=\"https:\/\/virginiawildflowers.org\/2015\/05\/24\/mountain-laurel\/\">mountain laurels<\/a> from the chapter park dam and to re-transplant them near the front gate.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_40422\" style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/mountainlaurel1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-40422\" class=\"wp-image-40422 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/mountainlaurel1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-40422\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia)<\/em><\/p><\/div>\n<p>While transplanting the mountain laurel, Mike named five distinct species of vines that he observed in one big clump as we dodged prickly briars.
