Nicole Troia is a senior at Hollins University in Roanoke and is majoring in Environmental Studies. Nicole was also a recipient of\u00a0one of the two chapter $1500 scholarships that were presented last year.<\/p>\n<p>Both recipients showed that they had\u00a0 good support systems in place as each had family members\u00a0in the audience\u00a0for the presentation of their scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the 20th of July, 2016 the Nansemond-Suffolk Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America awarded two $1500 scholarships to local environmentally minded students.
