This past March 16th, 23 \u00a0(twenty-three) Chapter Members showed their support by arriving\u00a02 hours early on\u00a0dinner meeting night and collecting trash from the roadside ditches alongside Kings Fork Road, an event that we schedule twice each year.<\/p>\n

26 bags of trash, and 2 automobile tires, collected<\/p><\/div>\n

Gary Brown, Chapter\u00a0Board member, contacted\u00a0Wayne Jones, Litter Coordinator for City of Suffolk, to obtain the trash bags, safety vests, and pickers that were needed. \u00a0Altogether, Gary said we collected 26 bags of trash, and 2 automobile tires. \u00a0Thank you, Gary, for coordinating this effort!<\/p>\n

Wayne asked Gary to spread the word that if anyone from our Chapter is interested in participating in a separate roadside cleanup effort of ditches in the Lake Prince Road\/Girl Scout Road area, to please contact him and he would try to help organize such a cleanup effort.<\/p>\n
