They\u00a0provide nectar, pollen, and seeds that serve as food for native butterflies, insects, birds and other animals. We\u00a0hope that they will\u00a0spread and mitigate\u00a0the\u00a0need to prune hardwood saplings that tend to sprout on our dam. Alan suggested that we can weedwack these plants in the Spring, but should avoid doing so\u00a0in the Fall to allow the seed heads to\u00a0propogate.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Wanda for coordinating this
