{"id":247,"date":"2015-04-10T03:36:06","date_gmt":"2015-04-10T03:36:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/?page_id=247"},"modified":"2025-04-06T07:53:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-06T11:53:40","slug":"park-cleanup","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/park-cleanup\/","title":{"rendered":"Park Cleanup"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><strong>Park Cleanups<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>To keep our Park in good shape and looking nice, we schedule from two (2) to four (4) Member park work days each year.\u00a0 Be sure to check the chapter <a title=\"Calendar\" href=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/calendar\/\">Calendar<\/a> for specific dates\/times.\u00a0 Usually the plan is for everyone to meet at the park gazebo at 8am on the scheduled workday to form work crews and review the tasks that needs to be accomplished.<\/p>\n<p>Members are asked to bring their own mowers, trimmers, rakes, shovels, rakes, pruning tools, chain saws, wheel barrows, etc. Tasks usually include mowing and weed whacking throughout the park (including the pond dam surfaces), smoothing out ruts in the paths, cleaning out ditches, thinning small pine trees surrounding the pond,\u00a0 cleaning up the pavilion area, and whatever other tasks are required under the guidance of our Park Maintenance Chairman, Jimmy Fanny.<\/p>\n<p>To receive credit for hours worked at these park cleanups, members should record their work hours on <a href=\"https:\/\/sniwla.org\/sniwla\/membership-info\/membership-participation-policy\/\">volunteer participation<\/a> forms.\u00a0 Alternatively, as a courtesy, the chapter&#8217;s membership committee will tally members&#8217;
