Members<\/h1>\n

As a local Suffolk chapter of the IWLA (Izaak Walton League of America), our\u00a0strength comes from our members\u00a0in\u00a0that we can operate somewhat autonomously within the grass-roots structure or\u00a0our parent state and national IWLA organizations, but with this comes a responsibility for each of our chapter members to figure out how to\u00a0apply their unique\u00a0skills sets in giving their resources, time, and energy towards helping our chapter meet the objectives\/goals outlined by our local chapters’ board of directors. A\u00a0good place to start would be to seek out existing committees<\/a> upon which to serve and begin a dialog with the respective committee chair person.<\/p>\n

To all members: we encourage you to participate in one or more Chapter activities, including our annual park cleanups, roadside cleanups, and river cleanups;\u00a0 and to attend our regularly scheduled monthly dinner meetings; and to help out with fundraising events.<\/p>\n
