Nansemond River Cleanups

lowres_DSC_0535Once or twice a year, our chapter’s Save-Our-Streams Chair/Clean Water Liaison, Tim Doxey, coordinates a cleanup of the Nansemond River shoreline.

Through the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation’s Adopt-A-Stream program, our chapter has adopted the section of the Nansemond River from the dam that creates Lake Meade to just below the Hilton Garden Inn Marina.  To see photo galleries of our Chapter Ikes in action during these river cleanup events, you’re invited to search our News archive.
